About Us
Girls in the Sunshine is a 501c Non-profit Organization with the purpose to promote positivity in the lives of young girls. The organization was created by two sisters, Liv and Arabella, when they were in elementary school. Liv dealt with bullying at a young age and didn’t want the difficulties that came from that to overtake her mindset. She came up with the idea that instead of being overwhelmed by her situation, instead she would focus her attention on finding positivity in her life. She realized that in volunteering her time and surrounding herself with kindness, she could better deal with her situations.

The organization was formed to provide a club for girls to feel a sense of community and togetherness. Girls in the Sunshine encourages its members to give back to the community by volunteering. Our belief is that spending time giving back is one of the best ways to find positivity in our lives. Girls In the Sunshine has organized events with our national affiliates: Girls Who Code, Smithsonian, Bet Buddies and Bali Children’s project, to name a few. For our club members, we send information regarding volunteer opportunities in your area. We currently partner with several national organizations that have regular volunteer opportunities. Additionally, we send a newsletter every month with important information regarding mental health and teen issues.
